“The idea for the EP came from a desire to play the type of music that inspired us as listeners. All of the music on the EP stems from simple ideas that we worked and re-worked as a band, by playing together frequently. Avoiding formulas gave us immense freedom to explore musically, sonically and try out different directions or moods. Inspiration could come from a chord progression, a bassline, a groove, a sound, a sample, a mood, colours, anything.
